Additional care hours for Holocaust survivors from the Foundation for the Benefit of Holocaust Survivors


​A Holocaust survivor conditions is entitled to receive from the Foundation for the Benefit of Holocaust Victims 9 long-term care hours, in addition to those granted by the National Insurance Institute, if she or he meets both of the following :

  • He or she has been recognized as persecuted by Nazis by the Claims Conference of the Holocaust Survivors Rights Authority or under the German Compensations Law;
  • He or she is entitled to a long-term care benefit, and was granted a score of 6 points or above on his dependency evaluation test.

The National Insurance Institute communicates the details of those entitled to the Foundation, so there is no need to submit any claim or form.

How additional hours may be obtained?

If you choose to receive the long-term care benefit in cash, you can also obtain this increment in cash instead of nursing services.

To receive the increment in cash you must fill-out Appendix A of the Inquiry form to the Claims Commission" in attachment to the claim for long-term care benefit in cash from the National Insurance Institute.
